Preservation/Old Photos
Preserving the past is one of the fundamental goals of photography. Unfortunately, for the majority of history, the medium on which photos have been stored is subject to deterioration and decay over time. Thankfully, advances in technology allow us to preserve our memories digitally and in a way that can last for a very long time.
We strive to take the utmost care in restoring, repairing, and reprocessing your old photos and albums. From prints, to 35mm or 24mm negatives or even 35mm slides, the entire range of film based photography can be preserved.
Please note: Photo preservation is one of the most time consuming aspects of the business and will require significant consultation and project lead time.
Kids/Family
Taking photos of children and families can be a challenge and a joy. We are busy people and we move around a lot. Kids especially have tons of energy and don’t sit still for very long periods of time. Capturing rare moments of interaction and general life is what making memories is all about. And let’s face it, our kids grow so fast, one day they’re in diapers, the next they’re in college!
We love to take photos of families and children, and seeing people live their lives naturally and peacefully is always a reward. The ability to capture lifelong memories is based on a respect for people, no matter their age or background. Hopefully, we will get to meet you and your family in the future, and help you to record some of the many memories you will grow to cherish.
Events
Planning and executing an event is serious business. You are working hard to ensure that everyone is organized and that everything goes smoothly. Documenting the event is also a key goal, not only to have a record of your success, but also to plan for the next event and make it even more of a hit.
We employ professionals who are not only highly organized, but also have the communication skills to interface with your business and clients. From business parties and meetings to commercial and industrial documentation, we have the resources to make it happen.
When your reputation is on the line, so is ours.
Weddings
Marriage is one of the most sacred of unions, and the ceremony that initiates this is no less precious. On this one day, two souls will come together to become one for all eternity. It’s part of your life that hopefully you will never repeat or forget.
When you look back on your wedding, joy and happiness will come to your heart, and if we’re lucky, our photos will grace your album as a constant reminder of the love that you share with your mate.
My promise to you is that we will work diligently and patiently with you to organize and seamlessly photograph your wedding so that your memories are not of us, but of your beautiful day of matrimony.
Portraits
“The most difficult thing for me is a portrait. You have to try and put your camera between the skin of a person and his shirt.”
- Henry Cartier-Bresson
According to the above quoted master photographer, taking a portrait is a difficult task. You need to know your subject intimately, but still retain enough honesty to provide a measure of objectivity. In my estimation, taking a good portrait is about representing the person and what they stand for.
Finding a way to capture the intangible and ephemeral qualities of a human being is what separates individuals from people.
Bands/Music
Like to play music? Recording a new track? Banging some upside-down tupper-ware in your moms basement? No matter if you’re putting together a brilliant concept album or just hammering out your frustration in a garage, we strive to document you and your craft.
If you are an orchestra, band, choir, composer, singer, song writer (or combination thereof), there is no stage or decibel level that we cannot handle. We will bend over backwards to make sure you are in the spotlight and that you look good doing what you do.
Street/Documentary
“It’s about reacting to what you see, hopefully without preconception. You can find pictures anywhere. It’s simply a matter of noticing things and organizing them. You just have to care about what’s around you and have a concern with humanity and the human comedy.”
- Elliott ErwittThis is what defines true street photography; capturing people in their element and the subtle ironies that follow them along. This is the most rewarding avenue of my work, and the one that I find myself enjoying the most.
About the photo: A guy looked like he was trying to pick up a girl, and she seemed not too interested, and as I raised my camera, this goofball came and made a silly gesture while talking on his phone. A jumble of scenarios, slightly humorous, never to be repeated. Perfect shot.
